FIRMS (Fire Information For Resource Management System) is now offering experimental Keyhole Markup Language (KML), version 2.0, to view MODIS Hotspot detections for the past 24 hours (UTC) using Google™ Earth. We welcome your comments and suggestions for improving our offering of KML. FIRMS now offers an auto-updating KML (using KML NetworkLinks) to visualize the latest MODIS Hotspot detections for most parts of the globe on Google™ Earth. The KML file will automatically refresh every two hours and downloads the latest available MODIS Hotspot detections. Alternatively, you can refresh the KML from within Google™ Earth.
